Knowing that ultraviolet light is a type of electromagnetic wave, the application principle is to the use UVC to degrade the gas. When VOC gases or malodorous gas molecules are exposed to UV-C concentrated irradiation, the molecules absorb the energy of ultraviolet light and undergo a decomposition process, allowing the formation of free state atoms and molecules.

Oxygen in the exhaust gas is decomposed by ultraviolet irritation to form free oxygen atoms and combine to generate ozone.

 → 2O* (O Radical)
O* +  O2
 → O3 (Ozone)

The generated ozone and hydroxyl have a strong oxidizing capability, and the exhaust VOC and odor molecules can be decomposed by these oxidizing atoms, further breaking down to non-polluting molecular compounds, H2O and CO2.
